Change regarding expert assessment in real estate purchase and sale for foreigners
In Türkiye, changes have been made to the document flow procedure for the purchase and sale of real estate by foreign citizens.
❕Now foreigners are not required to provide an expert assessment of real estate when concluding a purchase and sale transaction.
However, it is important to note that if the property is purchased for the purpose of obtaining Turkish citizenship, the requirement to provide an expert appraisal remains in effect.
In addition, the General Directorate (Department of Foreign Affairs) reserves the right to request a property valuation report if it deems it necessary.
