Real estate sales statistics in Turkiye in April 2024

In Türkiye, house sales decreased by 11.8% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 75,569. The provinces with the highest number of house sales were Istanbul with 12,406, Ankara with 6,272 and Antalya with 4,427, while the provinces with the lowest number were Ardahan with 18, Hakkari with 35 and Tunceli with 49.

In January-April period, house sales decreased by 3.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 355,173.

In Türkiye, mortgaged house sales decreased by 67.5% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 7,071. Mortgaged house sales had 9.4% share of all house sales. In January-April period, mortgaged house sales decreased by 57.0% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 34,693.

1,744 of mortgaged house sales in April and 8,313 of mortgaged house sales in January-April period were first sales.

In Türkiye, other house sales increased by 7.2% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 68,498. Other house sales had 90.6% share of all house sales. In January-April period, other house sales increased by 11.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 320,480.

In Türkiye, first time house sales decreased by 10.6% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 24,085. First sales had 31.9% share of all house sales. In January-April period, first time house sales increased by 1.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 112,341.

In Türkiye, second hand house sales decreased by 12.3% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 51,484. Second hand sales had 68.1% share of all house sales. In January-April period, second hand house sales decreased by 5.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 242,832.

House sales to foreigners decreased by 50.3% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 1,272. House sales to foreigners had 1.7% share of all house sales in April. The provinces with the highest number of house sales to foreigners were Antalya with 454, Istanbul with 407 and Mersin with 149.

In January-April period, house sales to foreigners decreased by 48.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 6,957.
