Real estate sales statistics in Turkiye in March 2024

In Türkiye, house sales decreased by 0.1% in March compared to the same month of the previous year and became 105,394. İstanbul had the highest share with 18.1% and 19,040 house sales. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 9,523 house sales and İzmir with 6,413 house sales with the share of 9.0% and 6.1% respectively. The provinces with the lowest number of sales were Ardahan with 23, Bayburt with 42 and Hakkari with 55 house sales.

In January-March period, house sales decreased by 1.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 279,604.

In Türkiye, mortgaged house sales decreased by 49.0% in March compared to the same month of the previous year and became 12,880. Mortgaged house sales had 12.2% share of all house sales. In January-March period, mortgaged house sales decreased by 53.0% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 27,622.

3,105 of mortgaged house sales in March and 6,569 of mortgaged house sales in January-March period were first sales.

In Türkiye, other house sales increased by 15.3% in March compared to the same month of the previous year and became 92,514. Other house sales had 87.8% share of all house sales. In January-March period, other house sales increased by 12.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 251,982.

In Türkiye, first time house sales increased by 4.6% in March compared to the same month of the previous year and became 34,399. First sales had 32.6% share of all house sales. In January-March period, first time house sales increased by 5.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 88,256.

In Türkiye, second hand house sales decreased by 2.2% in March compared to the same month of the previous year and became 70,995. Second hand sales had 67.4% share of all house sales. In January-March period, second hand house sales decreased by 4.0% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 191,348.

House sales to foreigners decreased by 47.9% in March compared to the same month of the previous year and became 1,778. House sales to foreigners had 1.7% share of all house sales in March. İstanbul ranked first with 652 sales to foreigners. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 618 house sales and Mersin with 151 house sales to foreigners.

In January-March period, house sales to foreigners decreased by 48.0% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 5,685.
