Real estate sales statistics in Turkiye in October 2023

In October, house sales in Turkiye decreased by 8.7% compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 93,761.

The highest share is in Istanbul: 15.9% and 14,941 home sales.

Following Istanbul are Ankara with 7,394 house sales and Izmir with 5,192 house sales with a share of 7.9% and 5.5% respectively.

The provinces with the fewest sales were Hakkari (40), Ardahan (43) and Bayburt (80 house sales).

In the period January-October 2023, home sales decreased by 14.3% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 993,835.

Here the indicator improves compared to the previous period, where the decrease was 14.9%.

Mortgage sales decreased by 58.0% in October compared to the same month the previous year and amounted to 5,577.

Mortgage sales in October accounted for 5.9% of all sales. During the period January-October, the volume of mortgage sales decreased by 31.2% compared to the same period.
