Real estate sales statistics in Turkiye in October 2024

In Türkiye, house sales increased by 76.1% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 165,138. The provinces with the highest number of house sales were İstanbul with 24,812, Ankara with 15,257 and İzmir with 8,658, while the provinces with the lowest number were Hakkari with 76, Bayburt with 97 and Ardahan with 112.

In January-October period, house sales increased by 11.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 1 million 112,374.

In Türkiye, mortgaged house sales increased by 278.2% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 21,095. Mortgaged house sales had 12.8% share of all house sales. In January-October period, mortgaged house sales decreased by 31.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 113,405.

5,167 of mortgaged house sales in October and 26,869 of mortgaged house sales in January-October period were first sales.

In Türkiye, other house sales increased by 63.3% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 144,043. Other house sales had 87.2% share of all house sales. In January-October period, other house sales increased by 20.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 998,969.

In Türkiye, first time house sales increased by 97.3% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 57,679. First sales had 34.9% share of all house sales. In January-October period, first time house sales increased by 20.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 358,558.

In Türkiye, second hand house sales increased by 66.5% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 107,459. Second hand sales had 65.1% share of all house sales. In January-October period, second hand house sales increased by 8.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 753,816.

House sales to foreigners decreased by 16.3% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 2,122. House sales to foreigners had 1.3% share of all house sales in October. The provinces with the highest number of house sales to foreigners were Antalya with 750, İstanbul with 724 and Mersin with 148.

In January-October period, house sales to foreigners decreased by 37.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 19,212.
