Real estate sales statistics in Turkiye in September 2024
In Türkiye, house sales increased by 37.3% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and became 140,919. The provinces with the highest number of house sales were İstanbul with 21,314, Ankara with 13,205 and İzmir with 7,612, while the provinces with the lowest number were Hakkari with 74, Ardahan with 82 and Bayburt with 106.
In January-September period, house sales increased by 5.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 947,236.

In Türkiye, mortgaged house sales increased by 87.4% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and became 15,825. Mortgaged house sales had 11.2% share of all house sales. In January-September period, mortgaged house sales decreased by 42.6% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 92,310.
3,685 of mortgaged house sales in September and 21,702 of mortgaged house sales in January-September period were first sales.
In Türkiye, other house sales increased by 32.8% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and became 125,094. Other house sales had 88.8% share of all house sales. In January-September period, other house sales increased by 15.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 854,926.

In Türkiye, first time house sales increased by 47.1% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and became 44,858. First sales had 31.8% share of all house sales. In January-September period, first time house sales increased by 12.0% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 300,879.
In Türkiye, second hand house sales increased by 33.1% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and became 96,061. Second hand sales had 68.2% share of all house sales. In January-September period, second hand house sales increased by 2.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 646,357.

House sales to foreigners decreased by 31.0% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and became 2,022. House sales to foreigners had 1.4% share of all house sales in September. The provinces with the highest number of house sales to foreigners were İstanbul with 783, Antalya with 548 and Mersin with 210.

In January-September period, house sales to foreigners decreased by 39.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 17,090.
