Share of real estate sales to foreigners in May in Turkiye

In total, 3,167 objects were sold to foreigners in May.

Sales of objects to foreigners in May decreased by 46.9% compared to the same month last year and amounted to 3,167.

The share of real estate sales to foreigners amounted to 2.8% of all real estate sales in May.

Antalya ranked first with 1,245 sales to foreigners.

Antalya is followed by Istanbul with 934 home sales and Mersin with 249 foreign home sales.

In January-May, sales of housing to foreigners decreased by 37.8% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 16,650.

These figures may also show that the peak of the rush demand in connection with the CBO in Russia has passed and the foreign market has returned to its normal stable state.

However, in May, Russian citizens were the main buyers and bought 991 properties in Turkiye.
